I define myself as a creative humanist who merges architecture, writing and photography as forms of artistic expression. Driven by a deep passion for art and nature, I am guided by the endless energy of curiosity.

Vítor Leal Barros | OA member
I was born in Porto in 1980.
I graduated in Architecture in 2004 from the College of Architecture and Arts, Universidade Lusíada do Porto, specializing in Urban and Architectural Recovery. I have been a member of the Portuguese Order of Architects (OA) since 2005.
Early in my career, I collaborated with António Brandão and Raul Silva (2004–2006) before co-founding ASVS Architects in 2009. Over the next decade, I led projects in Portugal and abroad, spanning Urban Planning, Architecture, Interiors, Product and Graphic Design.
My work has received international recognition, including 1st Honourable Mention at the Piraeus Cultural Coast Masterplan and Museum of Underwater Antiquities in Greece (2013) and 1st Honourable Mention in the Caffe Aroma Competition in Saudi Arabia (2014). Santa Catarina’s House won the ‘Respect for Architecture’ prize from the Portuguese Order of Architects in 2012. More recently, the Divino Salvador Church was a finalist in the Frate Sole Foundation’s International Prize for Sacred Architecture (2020) and named an ‘Ambassador of the Award’ for 2020–2024.
Alongside architecture, I pursued photography, graduating from the Portuguese Institute of Photography (IPF) in 2007, and have held several exhibitions.
In 2025, I published my first novel, Hotel La Solitude.
Outside my professional life, I am an avid triathlete, always seeking new challenges and experiences.
