MEIXOMIL HOUSE
Two Volumes.
The Meixomil House consists of three floors: one below the entrance level, used as a garage, and two above for residential purposes. To respect the natural slope of the site, the building is arranged longitudinally along the plot.
The ground floor appears as a longitudinal volume that seems to levitate above the basement, which is partially recessed along the southeast façade, responding to the slope of the terrain.
Above the ground floor, a transversal concrete volume is positioned, defining the shape of the upper floor. The void created by the intersection of the two volumes highlights the glazed entrance and the staircase connecting all floors.
The house was conceived as a single-storey typology, with the upper volume functioning as a technical floor, emphasized by exposed concrete finishes and metal shutters for natural light control.
