TABACARIA
«Tabacaria» brings together a series of images created between 2010 and 2011 across diverse locations and contexts. These images emerge as isolated fragments, atmospheres that, when juxtaposed and combined, form a unique narrative inspired by Álvaro de Campos’s eponymous poem.
The work interrogates the essence of photographic imagery, challenging its role as either documentary record or illustrative object, and instead seeks primarily to evoke a psychological response in the viewer, whether resonant with or distant from their own sensibility or state of mind. «Tabacaria» is a possibility, an open-ended cinematic experience, a tribute to the complexity and universality of Pessoa's imaginative universe.
